Autumn '07 live dates

Well it has been a long while, has it not? Following something of a hiatus for the past few months while Minna finished her educayshun, the One Dollar Party Bus is being wheeled out once again and we're lubing her up and rigorously servicing the old gal in preparation for an unprecidented burst of live activity never previously experienced since records began, almost 3 years ago.

This kicks off with a date at Boutique 299 at The Purple Turtle, Gun St, Reading on Wednesday 26th September.

And ends over a week later with a headline appearance at Port Mayhem at the Port Mahon, St. Clements, Oxford on Thursday 4th October.

PEEPSHOW PULL IT OFF

One Dollar Peep Show pulled off a stonker at the Zodiac in Oxford last Wednesday, despite guitarist 'big' Nigel Firth's best efforts to sabotage the set.

Market Tavern Gig

Matt was in the crowd and he has this to say,

Last night I ventured into Oxford to the Market Tavern to listen to a couple of bands. Among them was a band called "One Dollar Peep Show". Their sound was similar to Garbage in their hay-day with a bit of Goldfrapp thrown in. Worth a listen, but not your usual sort of rock music.

Shhhh...you know who

One Dollar Peep Show played a secret gig last night at The X in celebration of Oxford's premier songstress, Chantelle Pike's, birthday. Despite a technical hitch that rendered most of their synthesizers inaudible, 1DPS delivered a storming set of pure electro- punk rock 'n' soul music that had the crowd (most of whom were dressed in drag) hollering for more.

FOREVER LIKE RED+ THE PLAUDITS + ONE DOLLAR PEEP SHOW + NOT MY DAY

Wed 14th March - Oxford Zodiac downstairs

One Dollar Peep Show are currently promoting their debut album 'Showreel', released on the Weird City Electric Company label. Surely the only band to have been compared to both Portishead and the B52's in the same review, 1DPS have recently been garnering rave reviews for their occasional live performances. Ranging from brooding to euphoric, their sound mixes electronics and live instruments in a way that is utterly unlike new rave- and all the better for it.

VENGABUS

The One Dollar Peep Show party bus pulled into Oxford last week, to scenes of hysterical fandom reminiscent of The Fab Four's first tour of the U.S. Once safely hidden away from the panty-wetting crowds of adoring teenage admirers our heroes

You Lucky People

Whilst you have been relaxing in the beautiful sun, watching footie and drinking yourself senseless in the parks and gardens of our fair isle, we at PeepshowTowers have not rested in order to bring you the best in educational infotainment for your delectation and self-betterment. We have cancelled all leave and stepped up the motivational floggings meted out to our workers in the dank subterrainian sweatshops that power the engines of the mighty Weird City Electric Co. (think Titanic. Er apart from the bit where it sinks without trace and everybody dies. Actually don't think Titanic).

Henley Festival...2004

I've just discovered this whilst browsing through flickr! I love this shot. Nigel looks like Bruce Willis in the 5th Element or 12 Monkeys, which is about the opposite of who he usually looks like, and they're playing this huge big top. Wow.
